1. John Lee Hooker - Burning Hell
    Recorded in 1959, Hooker plays country-blues on an acoustic, and howls like a madman. His voice is really incredible.
  2. Robert Johnson - King of the Delta Blues Singers
    Actually a compilation album of Robert Johnson 78s recorded in 1936 and 1937. Some of the most influential recordings in history. You can practically hear the devil chasing him.
  3. Mississippi Fred McDowell - I Do Not Play Rock 'N' Roll
    1969 album, and the first one where McDowell plays an electric guitar. The extended rant at the beginning of the album is legendary.
