Three things I really and truly appreciate that my mom did for me.

  1. 1 she left nestle crunch bars in my drawer when I was little and I had a hard day.
(With dyslexia it was often a hard day)
  2. 2 when I would sneak in to listen to her practice the piano at night after the four of us had been put to bed, she would let me stay.
(My dad was doing his residency and wasn't around much)
  3. 3 she showed up when my daughter was born, and was more help than she will ever know.
(Thank goodness she came, because it would not have occurred to me to ask her to come)
