1. Weirdly meditative. I'm going to go for my phone when I first wake up and I know you're not supposed to, so at least this way I'm not checking email or Twitter. I'm reflecting, being creative, going with first instinct -- feels like meditation.
  2. Makes me feel like one of those writers who journal for an hour first thing in the morning, but instead I'm listing for five minutes. Baby steps.
  3. Once I write the second one, I think hey I could keep going! But I don't -- showing a discipline and self-restraint that makes me feel superior to my younger self.
  4. If I forgot to make a list during the day, I would never forgive myself. I'm very new to it, but I love this app!
