There is not enough time in the world for me to write this list to completion. I'll try anyhow.
  1. You live walking distance from your friends
  2. You are surrounded by people who actually WANT to learn
No more classmates who are literally only in school because it's the law. Most of the students here actually want to be here. The $40k a year makes sure of that.
  3. You don't have to hear about how "lit" everyone's weekend was
Yes, people here drink. Yes, people here party. But, in general, if you don't want to hear about it, you don't have to.
  4. You don't have to hear the f-word every time you walk through the hallways
Again, it happens. Just much less frequently.
  5. You only have to take one gym class
  6. You only have to take one math class
  7. You only have to take one science class
  8. You start telling your parents where you're going instead of asking them if you can
  9. Office hours
  10. No dress code, yet somehow most student are mature enough to not dress like hookers
And--get this--we are still able to concentrate even though the girl in the forth row is wearing leggings.
  11. I've only seen one couple making out all semester
As opposed to the one-per-hour quota in high school
  12. Being a Christian is cool
  13. No homework over Christmas break
    I cannot stress this enough
  14. The college is not afraid to celebrate Christmas
This means unapologetically holding Christmas tree lighting, running Christmas decorating contests, and blasting Michael Buble.
  15. You don't have to be in class at 8am
Sometimes, of course, this is unavoidable. But at least it's not every day, every semester.
  16. Professors relate the course material to your faith
  17. You feel safe, even alone at night
  18. Cheesesteaks
  19. Peer editors that make helpful suggestions

  20. Staying up late eating ice cream and mozzarella sticks
