Somerville used to be Cambridge's ugly stepsister. It has now come into its own and has some super places to eat. Here are my favorites:
  1. Sarma
Amazing Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food with a funky vibe. Run by the same people as Oleana in Cambridge. Be warned! You will run up a $100 bill without even realizing it. ♿️
  2. Redbones BBQ
A classic in Davis Square. Great ribs (I like the vinegar sauce the best), catfish, and macaroni & cheese, to name a few. Be prepared to a wait outside or at the bar for a bit to get a seat. ♿️ (upstairs only)
  3. Area Four
Best pizza in the area. I like the ambiance of the Kendall Square (Cambridge) A4 better than the Union Square location, but the pizza is just as fabulous. (not wheelchair accessible)
  4. Petsi Pies
Favorite bakery/cafe around. Awesome pies, quiche, muffins, and desserts. There is one location in Somerville and two in Cambridge. Hanging out there is a great way to start a weekend. (not wheelchair accessible)
  5. Flatbread Pizza
A candlepin bowling alley and an organic pizza place together?! Yes! Excellent pizza and salads that happen to also be organic, nitrate-free, sulfate-free, etc etc with a bowling alley under the same roof. If is cold out, have them seat you near the wood-fired, clay oven. ♿️
  6. Highland Kitchen
    Southern-inspired comfort food. ♿️
