Here is my own personal list of song lyrics that come from a time when music told stories about real life, and freedom of opinion and speech meant a little bit more than it does today. Lyrics about life, love, loss, hardship, happiness and sorrow. Give these songs a listen. they are truly sung with emotion that can't be conveyed through lyric alone
