CONCERTS I'VE ATTENDED IN MY LIFE

Inspired by @drekgrec.
  1. 1.
    Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
July 20, 2005. At DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI. Featuring The Black Crowes as the opening band. First concert and I was already 13 years old 😳.
  2. 2.
    Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
May 31, 2008. The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. Repeat show. Wasn't as enthused the second time around but hey my parents liked it.
  3. 3.
City and Colour (93.9's Winter Ice Breaker)
January 9, 2009. The Fillmore Detroit in Detroit, MI. Super laid back and my iPod got stolen.
  4. 4.
Modest Mouse (No One's First and You're Last Tour)
August 28, 2009. Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus, OH. I just remember I didn't wear my glasses and so I couldn't really see the band.
  5. 5.
    City and Colour
January 16, 2010 at The Fillmore Detroit in Detroit, MI. I have no memory of this concert at all.
  6. 6.
Conan O'Brien (Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour)
May 21, 2010. Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. I had no idea what to expect for this show but it was so much fun.
  7. 7.
Lady Gaga (The Monster Ball Tour)
September 4, 2010. The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. I didn't really want to go to this but went with my girlfriend and it was very cool.
  8. 8.
    Katy Perry (California Dreams Tour)
June 28, 2011. The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. Again went with my girlfriend but didn't really care about the music or spectacle.
  9. 9.
    Coldplay (Mylo Xyloto Tour)
August 1, 2012. The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. This was a last minute concert and perhaps because I had no expectations for it it was a lot of fun.
  10. 10.
    The Killers (Battle Born Tour)
December 20, 2012. The EMU Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, MI. Standing in the cold for an hour after the show sucked until we at least got to take some pictures with the band.
  11. 11.
    Paul McCartney
June 14, 2013. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. He performed for 3 hours and it was amazing. My girlfriend lost her contact so we had to leave early.
  12. 12.
Daniel Tosh (The June Gloom Tour)
June 15, 2013. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Featuring Jerrod Carmichael. Being able to watch comedy in an air conditioned tent after 2 days in sun already made this an amazing experience, but Tosh and Carmichael were very funny.
  13. 13.
    Matt & Kim
June 15, 2013. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Their energy is insane. They threw condoms into the crowd.
  14. 14.
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes
June 16, 2013. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. The ending of this concert is too much to explain but it was amazing.
  15. 15.
    The Killers (Battle Born Tour)
September 6, 2013. The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Our seats got upgraded for no reason.
  16. 16.
Panic! at the Disco (Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! Tour)
January 26, 2014. House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. The crowd was packed so tightly it was literally impossible to move but it was a lot of fun.
  17. 17.
    Lana Del Rey
May 15, 2014. The Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit, MI. The show was delayed for hours. The GA floor was way over the limit of how many people should be there. People were passing out from the heat. I hated everything about this concert.
  18. 18.
Lady Gaga (ArtRAVE: The ArtPOP Ball Tour)
May 17, 2014. The Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. We were right next to the stage and the crowd was fantastic. Amazing.
  19. 19.
Lana Del Rey (The Endless Summer Tour)
May 31, 2015. The DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, MI. A much better experience.
  20. 20.
    Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox
June 5, 2015. Royal Oak Music Hall in Royal Oak, MI. This was a chill show with a very talented group of performers. A lot of fun.
  21. 21.
Mumford & Sons (Wilder Mind Tour)
June 16, 2015. DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, MI. After having to witness them cancel their headlining performance at Bonnaroo 2 years before, it was finally great to see them live. They didn't disappoint.
  22. 22.
    Amy Schumer & Aziz Ansari
August 30, 2015. Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI. Also featuring: Jeffrey Ross, Rachel Feinsten, Bridgett Everette, Jay Pharaoh, Anthony Jeselnik, and Nick Kroll. Hilarious.
  23. 23.
    The Killers
June 2, 2016. The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We stayed after and took photos with the band but the fans were pretty intense here.
  24. 24.
Panic! at the Disco & Weezer (Disco Summer Tour)
July 8, 2016. DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, MI. My girlfriend accidentally bought second row seats and it was amazing. Panic performed first and did an amazing cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Weezer finished up with a costume-filled set. And I caught a guitar pick.
  25. 25.
Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs the music of David Bowie
July 10, 2016. Meadow Brook Amphitheater in Rochester Hills, MI. Brody performed the songs of David Bowie and sang very good renditions of all the hits. The finale of Life on Mars was especially awesome.
  26. 26.
    Halsey (Badlands Tour)
July 27, 2016. The Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit, MI. Building was so hot inside but the show was short and sweet. Pretty great visuals too.
  27. 27.
    Louis C.K.
August 5, 2016. Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. Louie had three openers (Rachel Feinstein, Joe Machi, Joe Lycett) and gave a great 80 minute set.
  28. 28.
    Kanye West (Saint Pablo Tour)
September 28, 2016. Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. Kanye' set here remained controversy free—he played over 30 songs and went on one rant about how great his shoes are.
  29. 29.
    John Oliver Live
December 31, 2016 at the Fox Theater in Detroit, MI. It was a lot like his show Last Week Tonight but not all of it was political. A great deal of it was though. Brooks Wheelan opened.
  30. 30.
Chance the Rapper (Be Encouraged Tour)
May 18, 2017. The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. Chance played to a sold out theater and the energy was insane. Also included so many pyrotechnics 🔥.
  31. 31.
    Conor Oberst (Salutations Tour)
May 31st 2017. At the Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, MI. He played some Bright Eyes songs as well.
  32. 32.
twenty øne piløts (Tour de Columbus)
June 21, 2017 at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH. Sam won a code from a lottery to buy these tickets in their hometown venues. They're energy was insane and the crowd was amazing.
  33. 33.
Third Eye Blind (Summer Gods Tour)
July 7, 2017. DTE Energy Music Theater in Clawson, MI. This was their biggest audience of the whole tour so far even though many left half way through. But when they played "Semi Charmed Life" there wasn't a single person not dancing their heart out.
