How I'm Spending Election Night

  1. I just realized I'm stuck spending it alone because my sister has class on Tuesday nights.
My brother in law is not super invested in politics, so I don't want to hang with him.
  2. My parents are too far away, and most of my friends are too.
  3. The only ones who are close are reluctant Hillary fans.
    Plus, like, Trump may win.
  4. Anyways, tell me what you're gonna do!
Maybe I'll tip the pizza guy extra to be my friend when the polls close on the West Coast.
  5. My school's memorial union is serving patriotic cookies and you can watch the election coverage. I'll probably head over there.
I'm done with class at 9:15am on Tuesdays so I have the whole day to be glued to my phone for updates. I'll text you!

  6. I'll be at the First Covent Church, Precinct 1E-36, setting up the booths and required signage for the election tomorrow. 🇺🇸
Then going to BED EARLY!! Get up at 5, be there at 6 to get out ballots, ePoll machine, register log etc. (Everything is locked up until Election Day) Think I'll need to be FULLY rested for this one 🙏🏼

  7. Curled in a ball of anxiety on my living room floor or my bed, depending on how late/poorly things go

  8. I'll be voluntary doing math homework and tutoring happily.

  9. Cleaning my house, giving my dog a bath, and maybe watch a movie.
After this ridiculously long election cycle, I'm ready to move on. After I vote there's nothing else I can do to influence the results. Watching the coverage is just stress that I don't need.

  10. I'll be in statistics class til 9 and then will be parked in front of the tv with my roommate, probably hyperventilating and anxious snacking til the end

  11. I'm teaching until 9pm. Probably best or I'd be a anxious puddle in front of the TV eating and drinking everything in the house!!!

  12. Anxiously waiting while binging You're the Worst.

  13. After I hit the gym I'll be watching all the coverage while on my couch with my hoodie up. Wine. Definitely wine.

  14. I have a meet-up for an organization I'm in, so I'll be able to grab a beer with friends and maybe even talk about something other than the election? It's a possibility, at least.
Then I'll come home and anxiously await returns. I'm worried about the Senate races, too. And the gubernatorial race in my state.

  15. Probably alone in my bedroom so I can cry unashamedly if I have to. I'll also probably have to do some homework. It's good to have something to focus on.

  16. Going to my friend's house to watch the election coverage and eat pizza and booze it up. We're both all in on HRC, so wanted to watch together and celebrate or mourn accordingly.
I have bible study book club tonight but I made them move it up so I could go watch with my friend Jessica instead. Definitely didn't want to watch with my Trump-voting roommate. 😝
