Proof that my stress eating isn't ALL bad... ๐Ÿ˜
  1. โ€ข
So, as you guys know, I'm currently teaching myself Korean & Hangul (Korean alphabet).
And if you didn't, now you do haha ๐Ÿ˜‹
  2. โ€ข
Anyway, I was stress-eating some Double Stuf Oreos the other night, and suddenly, I wondered: how do you write "Oreo" in Hangul?
I could figure out part of it, but not the whole word. So I Googled it.
  3. โ€ข
With my new knowledge that "Oreo" is written "์˜ค๋ ˆ์˜ค" in Hangul, I decided to search its tag on Instagram.
Don't look at me like I'm the only person who's ever looked at pics of Oreos on Instagram WHILE eating Oreos. I know it's not just me who does this! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜…
  4. โ€ข
Behold: Korean folks love Oreos too!
If the number of piccies on the tag were any indication, anyway ~ ๐Ÿ˜Š
  5. โ€ข
And now the main reason I wrote this list: I was surprised at all of the packaging text I was able to read/translate.
I knew my Hangul-reading skillz were improving, but ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Sure, the logos are easily recognizable (especially to an American), and yes, there are picturesโ€”but I absolutely can 100% read/translate the main text! EEK! ๐ŸŽ‰
  6. โ€ข
So here: have a mini Korean lesson.

I had to add this, because ๐Ÿ˜ Can we buy things like this in the States I wonder???? I suppose the closest thing would be buying Oreos in bulk @ Costco or something.

Oreo O's - Oreo O's were globally discontinued in 2007โ€”EXCEPT for in Korea! They're so lucky, aren't they?! I haven't had Oreo O's in yearsโ€”might have to order some online ๐Ÿ˜†

Mild Sweet (Mildly Sweet) - Exactly what it sounds like: a mildly sweet Oreo, a less sweet Oreo. Throughout various parts of the Asian market, the original recipe didn't quite take offโ€”people found the cookie too bitter, and the cream too sweet. So a few adjustments later, this mildly sweet recipe is the result, and it's doing well ~ More on this here:
