My Favorite Movies From Each Year I've Been Alive

These are not necessarily what I would call the "best" films from each year (critically speaking), but rather the films I end up watching a lot. My fav's. Inspired by @nessa_please reposted by @bjnovak
  1. 1980
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Runner up: The Shining)

  10. 1989

  11. 1990
Ghost (my whole family bawled in the theater)
  12. 1991

  14. 1993
Schindler's List (Runner up: The Nightmare Before Christmas)

Pulp Fiction (Close runner up: Forrest Gump. Obsession that year: Interview with a Vampire).
  16. 1995
    Apollo 13
  17. 1996

(Many runners up: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone [which sparked a MAJOR fan obsession in me that continues to this day {I'm a Ravenclaw}], and Donnie Darko. Big year for the imagination. Come to think of it, maybe we all just needed to escape that year. 😕).

  24. 2003
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (Runners up: Lost in Translation and Finding Nemo).

  26. 2005
Walk the Line (Runner up: HP and the Goblet of Fire).
  27. 2006
Superman Returns (I feel like this movie never got the credit it deserved. It's full of symbolism and honors the Christopher Reeves movies, but is so much better. Maybe it was too sentimental for everyone, but it was perfect for me. I still love it).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Runner up: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
  33. 2012
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (I know I'm coming off as a major fantasy nerd, but the story/movie still has to be well done and this one is).

  36. 2015
