Numbered, but in no particular order.
  1. 1.
    Alte Pinakothek, Munich
I never really appreciated the German Renaissance painters before. It's not all about you, Italy. (Ok, I'm just saying that because I have not had the opportunity to go to Italy yet.)
  2. 2.
Liechtenstein Museum of Fine Arts, Vaduz
More interesting sculptures of people than Rodan in Paris, housed inside (and next to) an ultra-modern building. My father's favorite part of the museum was the staircase. (There's an elevator, but why use that?)
  3. 3.
    British Museum, London
Located in a slightly less touristy part of the city. 3 words: the Rosetta Stone. Yes, just a rock with a lot of small writing. It makes me appreciate modern communication.
