Quote (or more) a day- take 2

The first one is really long so I figured why not start a new one. Maybe some repeats, especially if they're good quotes.
  1. Poets do not 'fit' into society, not because a place is denied them but because they do not take their 'places' seriously. They openly see its roles as theatrical, its styles as poses, its clothing costumes, its rules conventional, its crises arranged, its conflicts performed and its metaphysics ideological.― James P. Carse
  2. Many a man who loves spiritually is a weakling — a professor. Many a one who loves physically is a brute. But when the two are mixed, he loves with all the fire and passion of a poet and a cave-man. If I ever kiss you you’ll know that — and you’ll know what a wonderful thing my love is.
Kissing seems not a great matter, in a way. And yet in one way it speaks the million things which words can’t… A real girl doesn’t care to be kissed, much, unless real love goes with it.-James Thurber
  3. What is truly yours will eventually be yours, and what is not, no matter how hard you try, will never be.
  4. You don’t know what it’s like to be alone until you’ve had someone inside your head.” Excerpt From: Grimspace

  5. Anger is the deepest form of compassion, for another, for the world, for the self, for a life, for the body, for a family and for all our ideals, all vulnerable and all possibly about to be hurt. Stripped of physical imprisonment and violent reaction, anger is the purest form of care,
The interval living flame of anger always illuminates what we belong to, what we wish to protect and what we are willing to hazard ourselves for.- David Whyte
  6. I would suffer. I would want things to be different than they were. The wanting was a wilderness and I had to find my own way out of the woods. It took me four years, seven months, and three days to do it. I didn’t know where I was going until I got there. It was a place called the Bridge of the Gods.-Cheryl strayed
