Awkward Moments with Customers Today

I have a part time job at a cooking supply store which offers cooking classes to the general public.
  1. Customer A: "This item was in clearance. Can you tell me the price?" Me: "Sure." *scans item in register* "I'm sorry but this item is not on sale." Customer A: "But can't you go back there to clearance and check the price?" Me: *blank stare* "The register tells me the price." Customer A: "I don't understand why you won't do your job."
  2. Me: "Okay. Show me where in clearance." We walk back and the whole time she is mouthing off about why I won't do my job. Me: *picks up items* "I have no idea why they are here but they are not on sale. We walk back to register.
  3. Me: "Okay. Show me where in clearance." We walk back and the whole time she is mouthing off about why I won't do my job. Me: *picks up items* "I have no idea why they are here but they are not on sale. We walk back to register.
  4. I ring her up and she continues to be rude. She has a business and asks for business discount. Customer B: *looks at customer A* "I will never do business with you after watching you treat her so badly." Customer A: "You don't know me or what is going on!"

  6. Me: *omg don't poke the bear, sir* Customer A & B go back forth while I finish the transaction. Customer B: "I apologize if I upset you but I don't think she (me) should be spoken to that way as she did not deserve it."

  8. Customer A *walks away* Customer B: "I am sorry if I made things worse but I had to say something." Me: "Thank you but its okay."

  10. A few minutes pass and I look in the cooking class which is about to start. Customer A & B are taking the class. Me: *awkward for them*
