MY FAVORITE TIME TRAVEL MOVIES

Happy Back to the Future day. Here are my favorite Time Travel movies (also one TV show and one podcast)
  1. Back to the Future series
    Duh
  2. Primer
Low budget indie flick. Now streaming on Netflix. WATCH THIS MOVIE (more than once)
  3. Timecrimes
Foreign language sci-fi film. Just watch it without knowing anything about it. I've already said too much.
  4. Looper
    I love Rian Johnson.
  5. Safety Not Guaranteed
Such a heartfelt, hilarious film. This movie makes me feel things.
  6. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
  7. Groundhog Day
  8. Twelve Monkeys
  9. The Terminator & T2: Judgment Day
  10. Hot Tub Time Machine
    Hilarious.
  11. Army of Darkness
The third Evil Dead film finds Ash in medieval times. Delightful.
  12. Donnie Darko
Contrary to hipster belief, it's not the greatest film of all time, but it's a good movie, especially considering it was Richard Kelly's first feature film.
  13. The Butterfly Effect
Yes, the movie has problems. But it's interesting enough.
  14. Galaxy Quest
Probably doesn't belong on this list, but in the movie there is a little thing called the Omega 13 device. WATCH THIS MOVIE
  15. A Kid in King Arthur's Court
On the list for nostalgia purposes
  16. Timeline
Paul Walker, Gerard Butler, and Billy Connolly go back in time in this Michael Crichton adaptation. It's not amazing, but it's entertaining.
  17. Click
An Adam Sandler movie with a surprising amount of heart.
  18. LOST
Not a movie. But, if you watched it all at once, it'd be one long, incredible movie. Season 5 is full of time travel, and it's my favorite season.
  19. The Dead Author's Podcast
Again, not a movie. H.G. Wells (Paul F. Tompkins) travels back in his time machine and picks up now-deceased authors and brings them to present day to interview them at UCB in L.A. It's one of my favorite podcasts. Favorite eps include Tolkien, the authors of The Gospels, Ayn Rand, Plato, Tennessee Williams, Roald Dahl, Iceberg Slim, L. Ron Hubbard, and Beatrix Potter
