📸 THE LAST FIVE PHOTOS IN MY PHONE, EXPLAINED

  1. Through my car window, I was trying to get a photo of one of the heart sculptures on display along Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton. I just pointed and shot ... and missed. But I see the sign for El Farolito restaurant. It's very good, but I prefer the original in Placentia.
  2. I am Transylvanian Saxon. This is our small tribe's crest. The king of Hungary asked the group of Saxons to come and help defend the country. They did a good job, they were honest, tidy, and they were fine craftsmen (their very intricate embroidery is legendary). As thanks for being such good citizens, the king granted them autonomy within the country of Transylvania. There aren't many Transylvanian Saxons in the U.S., but I am proud to be one of them.
  3. This is my Transylvanian Saxon great grandmother, Agnetha Herbert, wearing a dress showcasing her embroidery skills. It's hard to see in this photo, but she also embroidered her name just above her waist.
