I love everything about this film. EVERYTHING! However, dear reader, I will limit myself to just three of my favourite things. I can't even rank them - because they are ALL SO PURE.
  1. Gregory Peck
Mr Peck bears absolutely NO RESEMBLANCE to Harper Lee's physical description of our hero, but I don't care.
  2. Brock Peters
I read that Mr Peters and Mr Peck became lifelong friends after making this film, and that Mr Peters delivered the eulogy at Mr Peck's funeral.
  3. "Stand up Miss Jean Louise, your father's passing"
If this scene does not rip your heart to shreds and if you do not weep bitter tears of sadness, YOU ARE A MONSTER. (One time, I was watching this film on TV, and they cut this scene. I was apoplectic with rage!)
