SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED

  1. I went back today for the first time since the attacks on 3 June:
    It looked the same.
  2. I still had to queue for coffee at Monmouth Coffee Company.
I snapped this for my Aussie BFF who loves this place almost as much as I do.
  3. It's still the best coffee in London, IMO.
I promise, I am not on commission!
  4. I was there between 0900 and 1000...
... And it wasn't crowded at all, and it felt a bit subdued. And I saw a uniformed security guard outside one of the restaurants. At 10. In the morning.
  5. I'm hoping that this is just a temporary lull?
Because everything was as lovely and luscious as always.
  6. But you know what? Some things HAVE changed.
The mood in North Kensington is still of shock and grief, but it is now angry too, as those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy are demanding answers and they want help from civic leaders and the government. There have been protests, but in the main, they have been peaceful.
