The Alphabet of Comedic Performances

Here's a list of some of my favorite comedic performances. Sometimes I use the real person's name, sometimes I use the character's name. It's MY list, dammit. I think @bjnovak would like this list, even though I didn't include him.
  1. Artie Ziff (Jon Lovitz) - The Simpsons
    Such a delightfully pitiful slimeball
  2. Bart (Cleavon Little) - Blazing Saddles
The perfect center to one of the great American comedies
  3. Cookie Fleck (Catherine O'Hare) - Best In Show
Any Catherine O'Hare character is perfect, honestly
  4. Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) - Spaceballs
One of the great bumbling idiots
  5. Euvegenia Doubtfire (Robin Williams) - Mrs. Doubtfire
One of my earliest memories of laughing so hard I cried was the "drive-by fruiting" line
  6. Fezzik (Andre the Giant) - The Princess Bride
Every line with honest and genuine delivery
  7. Galahad the Pure (Michael Palin) - Monty Python's Holy Grail
The immediate flip of character in Castle Anthrax
  8. Harlan Pepper (Christopher Guest) - Best In Show
When he starts listing types of nuts...
  9. Iago (Gilbert Gottfried) - Aladdin
One of the earliest times I remember anger being really funny to me
  10. Jan Levinson-Gould (Melora Hardin) - The Office
You just desperately hate her and feel sorry for her all at once
  11. Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) - Eastbound and Down
Just so delusional as to how bad off he really is
  12. Lumbergh (Gary Cole) - Office Space
    Truly a bastard
  13. Margot Tenenbaum (Gwyneth Paltrow) - The Royal Tenenbaums
Completely out of touch with reality
  14. Navin R. Johnson (Steve Martin) - The Jerk
    "He hates these cans!!!"
  15. Ocious P. Potter (John Goodman) - The Borrowers
Another childhood uncontrollable laughter memory: when The Borrowers just destroy this dude
  16. Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) - Forgetting Sarah Marshall
The definition of a tragic hero
  17. Queen of Germany (Gilda Radner) - Saturday Night Live
Gilda committed to this bit so hard that she slammed herself into a door like 4 times and broke a rib. Forever the Queen of comedy.
  18. Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith) - That 70's Show
Perhaps the most realistic portrayal of a defeated Midwestern father
  19. Spinal Tap (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer) - This Is Spinal Tap
Complete and total commitment to character
  20. Tobias Fünke (David Cross) - Arrested Development
    Brilliantly oblivious
  21. Urkel, Steve (Jaleel White) - Family Matters
A caricature in a reality that didn't want him there
  22. Vinny Gambini (Joe Pesci) - My Cousin Vinny
  23. Weir Family (Joe Flaherty, Becky Ann Baker, Linda Cardellini, John Francis Daley) - Freaks and Geeks
    Perfectly Midwestern
  24. Xavier Woods (Austin Watson) - WWE
Part performance, part real person. A complete joyful delight to watch.
  25. Yakko Warner (Rob Paulsen) - Animaniacs
Like Bugs Bunny without a filter
  26. Zero Mostel as Max Bialystock in The Producers
    Pure slime
