Inspired by @kate81 who was inspired by @krmckinstry who is a genius for coming up with this topic.
  1. What band or artist do you own the most albums by?
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (duh!). When one of my wife's friends was giving birth she asked me to make a Petty mixtape for her to listen to during the delivery. When my wife brought it to her she said "here, there's 16." Her friend said "oh wow, 16 songs? That's great!" Sarah said "no, 16 different cd's..." So yeah, I have every cd, several cassettes and a half dozen vinyls.
  2. What was the last song you listened to?
Lean On by Major Lazer. Woke up with it stuck in my head this morning, musical residue from Coachella still bouncing around my brain.
  3. What is in your CD player right now?
    US - Brother Ali
  4. What was the last show you attended?
Calvin Harris - Coachella Sunday night
  5. What was the greatest show you've ever been to?
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the Hollywood Bowl in 2006(?) for the Highway Companion Tour. Stevie Nicks played 5 or 6 songs with him, the Strokes were the opening band. It's hard to pick a favorite concert I've been to with @ElDudetterino because we've gone to so many awesome shows, and this 2006 concert has been my default answer since the last words of American Girl came out of Pettys mouth that day.
  6. What was the worst show you've ever been to?
Weezer and RHCP in Vegas. Not because the show was bad but because we left early. Some of my friends wanted to meet up with some women we met earlier in the day and I got out-voted. I could've stayed by myself but we had a limo and I didn't want to take a taxi back to the hotel(or do the super long walk by myself).
  7. What's the most musically involved you've ever been?
I was an accordion prodigy as a child (true story), but I gave it up. I played a ukulele on stage with a friends band at a charity event. I recorded a demo tape at Jackson Browne's studio and touched up some of those songs at a studio owned by Bob Dylan. I can't decide which of those is the "most" musically involved.
  8. What show are you looking forward to?
I can't wait for the next Incubus, RHCP or Heartbreakers tour, any of those will immediately move to the top of my list.
  9. What is your favorite band shirt?
The brown concert t that is barely hanging in there from the 2006 Tom Petty show at the Hollywood bowl. I spent $40 on the shirt inside the venue, then bought two more knock-offs in the parking lot for $10 each. I still have all 3.
  10. What musician would you like to hang out with for a day?
Nate Victory. We could squash our old beef, throw on a Marvin Gaye record, write a song together and jam out. @nathanveshecco I mean, after all, he's a rock star!
  11. What is one musician or group you wish made a comeback?
Everyone that died before I got a chance to see them in person. So... The short list would be: Nirvana, Sublime, the Eagles, the Beatles and Biggie.
  12. Who is one band/artist you've always wanted to see?
Foo Fighters - I have no excuses for not seeing them yet. I can't think of a time when I even made an effort.
  13. 4+ amazing albums?
Weezer - blue album, Nirvana - Nevermind, Tupac - Makaveli, Townes Van Zandt - A Gentle Evening with TVZ, Michael Jackson - Bad (everyone says Thriller but song for song I'll take Bad).
  14. How many music related DVDs do you own?
Too many, off the top of my head: Nirvana, GnR, AC/DC, Tom Petty, The Black Keys, Thriller, Jesus Christ Superstar(it's music related and I love it), Westside Story, and others I'm forgetting.
  15. How many concerts/shows/festivals have you been to?
Couldn't even list them all if I had all the time in the world and no character limits. I spend the overwhelming majority of my disposable income attending concerts or sporting events. @ElDudetterino is the only person I know that goes to more shows annually than I do. She saw Chvrches in SD the day before we left for Coachella and then she watched them at Coachella, just to give you an example of how much music is life for us.
  16. Who have you seen the most live?
Babylon Saints - you thought it was going to be Tom Petty didn't you?
  17. What was your last musical phase?
Female front(wo)men for bands: Transviolet, Florence, The Ting Tings, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Paramore, Fleetwood, Janis, Joan Jett, Heart, etc
  18. What is your favorite movie soundtrack?
Darkside of Oz. That counts, right? That should count.
  19. What is your "guilty pleasure?"
    Nicki Minaj
  20. What's stuck in your head right now?
Lean On, Chandelier(Sia) and Here(Alessia Cara), they're all just bouncing around my head, tickling my ear drums, embedded in my subconscious, after a weekend with so much other music they are all that remains. 🎵😶🎶
