1. Chasing Amy
A classic rom-com with an acute gen x edge. Most characters are often seen smoking and wearing lots of denim, but at its core a story about pride & falling in love.
  2. Clerks
Low budget sincerity and a window into a version of suburbia we all knew at one point growing up. Personally, seeing Clerks makes me miss my hometown and want to watch Star Wars.
  3. Mallrats
What could be more dated in 2015 than a movie that takes place almost entirely in a mall. Mallrats captures a genuine "do nothing" spirit I can only remember feeling.
