Songs and the memories I have attached to them

  1. Black and Gold by Sam Sparro
A friend told me introduced me to it the summer before college and I loved it immediately. Told my boyfriend at the time about it and he freaked out because he thought I was using it to tell him how I felt about him
  2. Bulletproof by La Roux
Another song I loved immediately, I found it while doing my college radio show and played it two weeks before she got popular and felt so badass
  3. Human Being by Zion I - Bassnectar remix
While working for an artist management company this was the first song I was involved in the making of the music video. Also the guy who edited it sat next to me so I heard it a billion times
  4. Howlin' For You by the Black Keys
Really liked a guy who loved the Black Keys and we worked a few events together and played this song every time
  5. Bang the Floor by Mr. Scruff
Reminds me of my co-host when we had a radio show together. I adore him and this song so much
  6. Teach Me How to Doughie by Cali Swagg
I love this song with all my heart, makes me think of every sweaty college party I went to (which wasn't many) where too many people filled the dance floor with terrible dance moves and vodka red bulls
  7. Chantilly Lace by Big Bopper
This song was on one of my dad's thousand compilation CDs and it was a fave of my sister's and I. My entire family would dance together in the living room to it
  8. Heartbeat by Childish Gambino
An emotionally abusive ex of mine sent me the lyrics to this song years after we broke up and in between times trying to still be friends. I'm an emotional wound picker so I listened the song obsessively for the next few days
  9. Holidae In by Chingy
Bless my parents for putting up with me blasting terrible music. I was doing homework and my dad came in to sing and dance to this song. At the time, it ruined the song for me, I've overcome that now
  10. She Is by The Fray
Aforementioned emotionally abusive ex and I both loved The Fray. He had this as my ringtone and it made me very happy. After we broke up I looked in his phone to see if it was still it only to learn he changed it to his new girlfriend's ringtone and it broke my heart all over again. I have only myself to blame
  11. Day 'N' Nite by Kid Cudi - Crookers Remix
    Freshman year dorms
  12. Audacity of Huge by Simian Mobile Disco
A friend introduced me to this band and I played this song on repeat. We were supposed to go their concert and bought tickets only for me to realize I couldn't go because I had a debate tournament. I still haven't recovered
