Movies that aren't just "good for their time" but that feel like they could've been made yesterday.
  1. Some Like It Hot
Possibly my favorite movie of all time. Every single line is comprehensible, brilliant, and absolutely hilarious. I'm ashamed to say that I thought Marilyn Monroe was just a pretty face before seeing this movie--she is actually one of the most talented comedians I've ever seen. Watch. This. Film.
  2. Breakfast at Tiffany's
Really really solid script and fantastic acting (at least by the women in the film). If you can overlook the HORRIBLE racist portrayal of the Japanese landlord, it's a film worth seeing, and rings very true emotionally. My favorite scene by far is the wild party--look out for the woman and the mirror.
  3. The Apartment
In my opinion, the most superb script of all time, filled with the best characters.
