My Geographic Story

Do you come from a land down under? šŸŒŽ
  1. ā€¢
    Albany, NY (upstate)
    Bown and waised, batches! šŸ‘¶šŸ„
  2. ā€¢
    Bethlehem, NY (upstate)
And lo, a ginger came onto them... āœØ
  3. ā€¢
    Manhattan, NYC
Moved here for college. I'd wanted to go to NYU long before Mary Kate and Ashley made it "cool" to pay exorbitant tuition and room&aboard fees to follow your dreams. Been here ever since (minus my stint in Abu). It's been about a decade now and I'm still in love with NYC. While I left Manhattan to have an affair with BK, my heart belongs to Manhats. Lived in the Village and Upper East Side/East Harlem. One day I'll be able to own my own place on Gay Street in the West Village...mayhaps? Sigh. šŸ—½
  4. ā€¢
    Abu Dhabi, UAE
Lived here for over two years right out of college. Graduated with a film degree in the recession so a job opening in the middle of the desert seemed like a viable option. Of course, that desert is in the middle of the richest country in the world, so there's that... Fun fact: Abu Dhabi means "father of the gazelle" šŸŖ
  5. ā€¢
    Florence, Italy
Every summer for the past 4 years I've been lucky enough to spend 2 weeks in Florence with my high school students. I know, I know, that's not living, but it's been fascinating to return to a place annually at the same time for consecutive years. Also had one of the best dates of my life there (oh, Roderigo, I miss thee). Best food - could eat a whole tomato raw or guzzle olive. Looking forward to going back to the Villa in a month! Hoping to get to Calabria, where my mom's side is from. šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹
  6. ā€¢
    Tel Aviv, Israel
A perfect summer. I met the most amazing people while studying the impact of conflict zones on cultural identities. I'll never forgetting holding an eighth month old Palestinian baby and meeting an 88-year old Holocaust survivor in the same span of 24 hours. āœ”
