  5. Risk. Decisions are made based on your relationships with the other players in addition to personal strategy. It forces a sort of diplomatic role playing that adds a depth to the game that no other game has.

  6. Stop Thief
Old school! I just discovered mine in my old bedroom! It was one of the first electronic board games, and it still holds up!

  7. CLUE
Do I really have to explain this?? Professor Plum in the Library with a candlestick. Miss Scarlett in the Library with a candlestick.
    Suggested by   @jannychan
  8. Battleship!!
I never played it as a kid so when I played it as a young adult it was ridiculously fun. It can also be turned into a drinking game, which is always a plus!

  9. Dominion!
    Technically it's a card game
    Suggested by   @ramivaa
  10. Ticket to Ride!
It's like Monopoly except you're buying train tracks. Sounds boring, but it's actually super fun and anxiety-inducing!

  11. Parcheesi
    A game of India

  12. Trivial Pursuit
My dad was a trivial pursuit junkie so we grew up playing and I have really come to love it. It's a timely game since different editions come out constantly - even last night we played Harry Potter trivial pursuit as a family and it was so much fun. Plus it makes you feel smart 🤓

  13. Scattergories
Old school but it's hilarious to hear people try and justify their choices. Especially if they're drunk.

  14. Carcassonne
I love piecing together medieval walled cities, roads and abbeys on the table top.

  19. Telestrations
Boundless creativity and hilarity. Great for every single age and also drunken state.
    Suggested by   @yllwbrckrd
  20. Bang!
My friends were obsessed with it before I was and now I see why - the objective stays the same each time but everyone's roles and strategies rotate every game. Endless fun!

Very easy to learn and just the right amount of strategy to teach to my students. And of course, REVENGE!!

    Suggested by   @lynn0826
  25. Clue
    Mystery nerd.
    Suggested by   @crossedties
  26. Backgammon
Because it's fun and the mention it in the hit abc drama, LOST
    Suggested by   @peggyguggenheim
  27. Bandu
This is a boxed set of odd shaped wood pieces. There are several variations of play, all involve building and balancing. It's a game that's fun, challenging, is easy to explain, and doesn't necessarily favor a player's intelligence, but isn't about luck or randomness either.

  28. The Game of Life!
Relatively quick game. Things get intense once people keep stealing the golden salary card. Sometimes you need to get a second car to hold all your kids. Me and my friends are jerks and the game makes it easy to say jerk things to each other
    Suggested by   @sonyaellis
  29. Twister, because the bonding possibilities are limitless.
