ANNUAL TRADITIONS FOR THE FIRST SNOWSTORM OF THE SEASON

  1. Read Ethan Frome.
My grandmother introduced me to Ethan Frome and her tradition of passing the book onto someone else after she reads it. I've done that occasionally with other books.
  2. Write down the date and time of when the snow begins in a journal.
I just really find snowfall to be magical. Especially the first big storm. Everything becomes so still and quiet. It's New England (for me) and nature at its most beautiful.
