Carlo Gesualdo: he's cool

I listened to a few pieces by Gesualdo, and i am pretty sure that the gems in his vast œvre greatly outnumber those which enriched Qin Shi Huang, first emperor of china. (Also, he killed three people, including his first wife)
  1. Moro, lasso, al mio duolo
  2. Ancor, che per amarti
  3. Languisco e moro
I learned about this song while reading the wikipedia page of the neapolitan chord, this seems to be one of its first appearances. Btw: by my impression, a list about things with "neapolitan" in it's name could be quite funny. Apart from the here mentioned "neapolitan chord", there is also the "neapolitan debt", and in germany there is a kind of cookie called neapolitan as well (and i was assured that the cookies have no clear relationship to the city of Neaples).
