NATURAL DYEING WITH FOOD SCRAPS AND SPICES

  1. Onion skins
    The color ranges from a beautiful bright yellow to a burnt orange
  2. Avocado pits and skins
    Comes out pink!
  3. Cabbage
    The color will fade in sunlight but it's such a beautiful blue violet while it lasts
  4. Turmeric
    Bright yellow, no surprise
  5. Rotten fruit
    Not a dye exactly, but boil down rotten fruit like apples, pears, or bananas, and pour it into an organic indigo vat as your antioxidant
  6. Cloves
    Very subtle beige color, but smells amazing
  7. Elderberries
    Pretty blue violet
