LEAVING FACEBOOK HAS IMPROVED MY MENTAL HEALTH

  1. Awhile ago, I gave all the reasons I needed a break from Facebook REASONS WHY I NEED A BREAK FROM FACEBOOK
  2. I'm so happy I did because it was compromising my well-being.
  3. I was angry all the time.
  4. I didn't want to see people who I learned were jerks give me the "so good to see you" phony hugs and smiles.
  5. I was totally miserable and felt so stupid for getting so wrapped up in other people's meanness via social media.
  6. So I deleted the app off of my phone.
  7. What a relief!
  8. I'm much more calm and happy now.
    Though I do give some credit to my new Xanax prescription.
  9. I'm better with my kids and husband.
  10. I still get notifications for important events.
  11. I don't feel the need to post every little thing that comes into my head.
  12. I will certainly share some family pictures when I'm proud of my kids.
  13. I don't have to put up with "friends" whose statuses tend to be "I'm so done.," "Oh no, not again!" "Longest day EVER!" and then no more info.
  14. Since I don't post, I get no notifications. Nice!
  15. I don't have to deal with (thank you Garfunkel and Oats) the drama of "loose acquaintances ."
  16. And now, I'm very happy here, where I can express myself without fear.
  17. I am so much better mentally writing and reading everyday and getting to know new people.
