Things I still believe in even if society doesn't

  1. Handwritten thank you notes.
Sent in an appropriate time frame.
  2. Inviting all female wedding guests to the bridal shower.
Having recently been slighted by this, it's hurtful. Sure, it meant I didn't have to buy a gift, but it also felt exclusionary and I didn't appreciate that.
  3. Respecting my elders.
Interactions can be trying, but they're important. There is a lot that can be learned from them.
  4. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
Keeping up with the Jones' is exhausting. Who cares if you have the biggest house, most luxurious car, or make millions? If you don't start every morning with a grateful heart, nothing else matters.
