My Top 20 Most Prized Hello Kitty Items

It was super hard to choose only 20 items (I almost ended up with a Top 50+ list- haha!), but these Hello Kitty items are ones I truly cherish. Trust me, there are way more items I couldn't live without, but I figured I'd keep the list short, rather than crazy long. 馃槣
  1. 1.
Hello Kitty & Dear Daniel Wedding Figures
Hubby and I had these figures sitting on our head table at our wedding. They'll forever be my most cherished Hello Kitty & Dear Daniel set.
  2. 2.
    My First Hello Kitty Ring
My hubby surprised me with this ring when Kay Jewelers came out with their first ever Hello Kitty collection. It was my first piece of good quality Hello Kitty jewelry and he managed to get his hands on it for me before I even knew about the collection being released. It's now part of my everyday jewelry and sits next to my wedding ring in this special jewelry box.
  3. 3.
Pink Hello Kitty Instax Mini Camera
When this beautiful camera first came out, I freaked out from excitement. As a kid, I always wanted, but never had, an instant camera. Now, as an adult, I have a small collection of Hello Kitty cameras, including 3 Instax Minis, to fill that void. Haha! This particular camera was technically the 2nd Instax Mini I bought, but is my favorite because of the shape and color.
  4. 4.
    Hello Kitty Con Plush
I'm forever grateful I was able to go to the first ever (and apparently only) Hello Kitty Convention in 2014. This plush was one of the items I was most excited about buying there at the Pop-Up Shop and is a representation of my greatest Hello Kitty adventure to date. (Which by the way, I had to travel across the country for- from Virginia to Los Angeles, California!)
  5. 5.
    Hello Kitty Sephora Perfume
If I could cheat and say that "Item 5" is my entire Hello Kitty Sephora Collection, I would. But I guess if I had to choose 1 item, this perfume bottle would be one of my favorites. The perfume itself doesn't smell that great to me, but I fell in love with the bottle because it was the epitome of "girly adult", rather than "childish adult". It's black, not pink. It's glass, not plastic. It's sexy, not silly. My makeup & perfume collection would be incomplete without it.
  6. 6.
    Hello Kitty Momoberry Figure
Hello Kitty Momoberry items are ones I desperately wish I had more of. When the store and collection existed, I unfortunately couldn't afford all the super cute, fancy items. This figure (plus a few other things) are the only Momoberry items I have and therefore cherish them dearly. This figure in particular is one I have 2 of so that when I have office jobs, I can have 1 at home and 1 at work. Haha!
  7. 7.
    Hello Kitty Sephora Rhinestone Mirror
I am ALL about the bling. If I could bling out everything in my house, I would (Haha!)... but since I can't, I ogle at and appreciate this beauty in all its glory. This gorgeous mirror is probably the most glamorous item I own. It sits on my vanity and I use it everyday when I put on my makeup. Hands down, it's one of my favorite items of all time.
  8. 8.
    Hello Kitty Wizard Plush
Best fact about this plush is that it's one of the few Hello Kitty items that survived "The Great Toy Demise" of 2004, where I stupidly sold most of my cute toys and Hello Kitty items before moving out of my parents' house and into my first apartment with my now-husband because I thought it was the right "adult" thing to do.
  9. 9.
    Lladr贸 Wedding Figures
The Lladr贸 Hello Kitty collaboration is one of my favorites. I love being able to have Hello Kitty items made of porcelain and that are clearly made for adults, rather than children. This wedding figure is one of my favorites because of how cute Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel look together. Plus, it was a pretty awesome 1 Year Wedding Anniversary gift (from a friend).
  10. 10.
    Tokidoki Donutella & Sandy Figures
Tokidoki is another one of my favorite Hello Kitty collaborations. Anything from the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty collections makes me squeal with joy from all the "kawaiiness"! These 2 figures are a couple of my favorites from all the Tokidoki items I have. I just can't get enough of Hello Kitty looking so cute as a donut and cactus! Hehe!
  11. 11.
    Classic Hello Kitty Coin Purse
As many Hello Kitty collectors know, this iconic coin purse was the very first Hello Kitty item ever sold in 1974. Mine isn't a 1974 original, but it's the closest version I have of the classic item. I received it as a freebie with one of my Sanrio boutique purchases in 2004, and have treasured it ever since. The best part is that I have 2 of these, so I keep 1 untouched, and the other I actually use as a coin purse every once in a while. Hehe!
  12. 12.
    "I Heart Hello Kitty" Purse
My hubby bought me this super cute purse on one of our vacations to Florida. I saw it in the window of a random store that didn't sell Hello Kitty things, except for this one purse. I instantly fell in love with the design and wore the purse for a really long time. Now, even though the purse is too small for me to use (I carry too much crap now- haha!), I keep it safely stored (and plan to keep it forever), as it reminds me of a lovely beach vacation with my hubby many years ago.
  13. 13.
    Swarovski Large Figure
The Swarovski collaboration is my ultimate favorite one of all time. My hubby surprised me with this particular figure for Christmas in 2012. To this day, it is the most expensive HK item I own & represents what many people have a hard time understanding- that ADULTS are allowed to love HK. This figure (and the entire HK Swarovski collection) was made for adults, NOT children, and having it as part of my collection makes me prouder than ever to be a "grown ass woman" who loves Hello Kitty.
  14. 14.
    Vintage Hello Kitty Plush
This Hello Kitty plush is from 1976. I didn't have her as a child, but I'm grateful to have added her to my collection as an adult. With her funny little face and oddly shaped head, she's a wonderful reminder of how much Hello Kitty has grown as an icon. Even with her missing bow (unfortunately when I got her, it was already missing), she's still adorable and a true little treasure to have.
  15. 15.
Kawaii Plush With Dear Daniel Doll
This little plush is one of my favorites because of the cute AND funny factor. Hello Kitty looks absolutely kawaii and I find it so funny that she's holding a doll of Dear Daniel, which by the way, I've always said I'd love to have of MY hubby- lol! You know- like Howard and Bernadette (from Big Bang Theory) have little dolls of themselves? Haha! Anyway, she's definitely a favorite. Even if I decide to downsize my plush collection again, this little cutie is guaranteed to stay forever.
  16. 16.
    Tokidoki "Fancy" Design Purse
As I mentioned before, Tokidoki is one of my favorite Hello Kitty collaborations of all time. Whenever a new collection comes out, I undoubtedly fall in love with both the plushes AND purses within the collection. This "fancy diamond" collection is my favorite of the purse designs. I just love all the cute fancy cuteness within the design, which is the ultimate definition of my taste in things- cute, but fancy and blinged out. Haha!
  17. 17.
    Hello Kitty Gold Lipstick
This is another one of those items where I wish I could say my entire HK makeup collection is "Item 17", but for the sake of this list, I'll focus on this particular lipstick. I LOVE this lipstick bc the makeup brand did a great job of making it truly look like "adult makeup". There are many cute HK lipsticks but they look like they're made for young teenagers. This one, however, with its beautiful gold finish and little rhinestone detail in HK's bow, just screams "lipstick made for a woman"! 馃拕

    Vintage Hello Kitty Watches
When I was a kid, I had one of these flip-open watches in the shape of a cute owl. Of course, I also wanted the Hello Kitty version, but I never got one. A few years ago, I was able to add both of these vintage beauties to my collection and I'm forever grateful. Even though they're not currently working, I still wear them as a fun retro accessory.
  19. 19.
My First Hello Kitty "Fancy" Purse
I don't even remember when I got this little purse, but I remember thinking how "fancy" it looked and just loved the bead work on it. I've always loved girly and sparkly things like this, so it has definitely been one of my favorite items for many years. I haven't used it in a while, but I used to use it as a wallet. Haha!
  20. 20.
    Large Hello Kitty Gumball Machine
Gumball machines are one of my favorite things in life, so it kinda goes without saying, that ANY Hello Kitty gumball machine will be a fave of mine... on any list! Haha! This large one, however, is definitely my favorite bc of its size & shape. Most of the larger ones I have are the regular globe shape, and the ones that are in the shape of her body are super small (like the one sitting next to her in this pic). Without this "gumball beauty", my Hello Kitty collection would be truly incomplete!
