1. When my son is awake we play and talk. It is mentally exhausting to be cheerful but he is worth it.

  3. Friends and family have a silent understanding of shared anxiety. We randomly say I love you. Because it needs to be heard right now.
  4. I have never given into apocalyptic thinking, the world has always moved in cycles of progression and regression. But I am realizing that living in fear changes my very personality and that may not ever be undone.
