1. Song Exploder
10-15 minute episodes where a musician breaks apart the creative and technical thought behind one of their songs. Simple concept perfectly executed.
  2. The Flop House
Three dudes (including Daily Show Head writer/funniest living human Elliot Kalan) watch a bad movie and then discuss. Many podcasts share this concept but only one deserves your time.
  3. Start-Up
A serialized podcast that chronicles a former This American Lifer who sets out to create his own podcast company. Like Serial, it takes place in real time and is brilliantly produced.
  4. Bret Easton Ellis Podcast
Not a creative title but still the smartest, most thought-provoking podcast there is. BEE takes an hour to have movie and pop culture-centric discussions with interesting guests. Every episode begins with a 8-10 minute long monologue/thought piece read by Bret. @BretEastonEllis
  5. Dinner Party Download
Short, well produced vignettes that revolve around setting up a dinner party. You've got ice breakers, fun facts, celebrity curated playlists, and informative interviews. It moves quickly and is chalked full of fun tidbits and entertaining stories.
