All Time Favorite Movie Scores/Soundtracks

  1. 1.
    Scott Pilgrim vs the World
In high school I was a hardcore indie music snob, and I listened to this soundtrack while silently judging anyone who listened to the top 40. Beck, Broken Social Scene, and Metric are just a few names from this masterpiece. INDIE KIDS UNIIIIITE!!!
  2. 2.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
This soundtrack introduced me and most of the world to Jose Gonzales and I am forever grateful for that. Also featuring amazingness from Junip, Arcade Fire, and Rogue Wave. Again my inner indie snob is rejoicing.
  3. 3.
    Back to the Future
Grand, epic, and recorded by the largest orchestra ever assembled by Universal Studios at the time. Also two classics from Hughey Lewis and the News. YES PLEEEEEEASE!
  4. 4.
    The Social Network
Ever wondered what's going on in the mind of the weird kid from high school? It's this soundtrack. It's beautiful and kinda scary at the same time. Ambient and unsettling, I approve.
  5. 5.
2 hour long jazz drum solo anyone? Sign me up!
  6. 6.
    Indiana Jones
Do I really need to explain this one? John Williams is perfection.
  7. 7.
    500 Days of Summer
The Smiths, Regina Spektor, and a Hall and Oats dance sequence. *drops mic*
  8. 8.
    October Sky
Ever looked up at the night sky and wondered about stuff? This is the score for you. This happy/sad score will bring the tears and make you want to do more with your boring life.
  9. 9.
The opening title sequence is literally scarier than anything else in the movie. Goosebumps everytime.
  10. 10.
    Toy Story
Gary Newman sounds like that goofy uncle that everyone has, but that's what made this soundtrack so memorable. I dare you to try and not smile while listening to🎵You Got a Friend In Me🎵
