American Horror Story Seasons Ranked from Best to Worst
  1. Murder House

Will always be my favorite season because it started the series. Events in Hotel relate to Murder House so it'll be exciting to see what is similar. Connie Britton gets a little lost in this season but I think her along with Jessica Lange make this season as amazing as it is. Evan Peters, Dylan McDermott, Denis O Hare, Jamie Brewer, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga (Vera's sister), Lily Rabe, Kate Mara, and a minor character portrayed by Sarah Paulson.
  2. Asylum
    B4a9835f c9dd 44ec 967c 9a9104d55fbd
A lot darker than Murder House but so great. Zachary Quinto joins the cast this season. Him and Sarah Paulson give amazing performances. In addition, this was Sarah Paulson's favorite season to film thus far. James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, and Chloe Sevigny also join this season.
  3. Coven
    B120f0d0 2f5c 4766 bca7 1f075afb5771
Surprise Bitch! Extremely campy season with the best flashbacks (of any season so far) and modern day events. Angela Bassett, Danny Houston, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, and Kathy Bates join the cast this season and Kathy's performance is not a far stray from her role in Misery. Ryan Murphy was determined to have a female driven cast.
  4. Hotel
    6011bf85 9f96 444f 9269 b88f914e54f7
The era of vampire Lady Gaga! So far so good. So many new faces this season and they're mainly the male cast members but unfortunately no Zachary Quinto (hopefully S6). Wes Bentley who has a minor role in Freakshow joins us as lead detective, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock (Dandy from Freakshow), Cheynee Jackson, and Max Greenfield. These guys all look alike and there's a purpose behind it!
  5. Freakshow

For Freakshow being Jessica Lange's last season (for now) and her favorite season to film, one would think there would be more magic. Jessica Lange as the "ringleader" and Sarah Paulson as the "two headed woman" give great performances but it falls apart everywhere else. Adding actual "freaks" or people who feel don't belong was enjoyable and makes it more authentic so I applaud casting for finding those cast members.
