THINGS WE LEARNED ABOUT FILING TAXES IN MISSOURI THIS YEAR
Today, we had Lance Weiss, a CPA, join us to answer questions about filing taxes. Here's what we learned.
- 1.The tax deadline this year is APRIL 18 this year, not April 15 like usual.
- 2.For some Missouri residents living in counties impacted by flooding the deadline for state and federal taxes is actually MAY 16.
- 3.If you received a health insurance form from your employer (1095-B or 1095-C), you don't have to file it. KEEP IT, though, in case the IRS asks for proof of health insurance.
- 4.HOWEVER, if you received a 1095-A from the health insurance marketplace, you will need to file that with your taxes.
