On Friday @pitchfork announced the lineup for their annual music festival. I insta-bought a 3 day pass! HERE IS YOUR PITCHFORK MUSIC FESTIVAL 2016 LINEUP
  1. 1.
    Broken Social Scene
This is my favorite band not named Radiohead. They are *kinda* broken up (no pun intended). More like they rarely get together to play any more, and I had already suspected I was done seeing them live again - barring some special trip to Toronto. Absolutely over the moon happy today seeing this name on p4k's announcement!
  2. 2.
    Carly Rae Jepsen
NO MAYBE ABOUT IT! I am a sincere fan of her 2015 album and already have tickets to see her in concert next month. However, I'd rather dance outside with aging millennials than inside a poor sounding club with teens and their hip dads. (Not to mention - I may turn a profit on my CRJ tickets)
  3. 3.
I've passed up way too many opportunities to see him, and now I'm gonna experience his amazingly gummy grooves live. Here's one of my all time favorite songs: "Oh Sheit It's X" by Thundercat
  4. 4.
    Holy Ghost
First saw/heard these guys when they opened for Cut Copy and have seen them live multiple times since. Can't wait for their new album.
  5. 5.
Unlike Beach House & Carly Rae Jepsen, I am not selling tickets to the show I have for them before p4k. They are that amazing live.
  6. 6.
    Beach House
Friday's headliner (although I wish Broken Social Scene was given the headlining spot instead). Some of my favorite albums of the past five years have been from them.
  7. 7.
    The Range
Another act I've wanted to see for years, with an excellent 2016 album.
  8. 8.
    FKA Twigs
This is gonna be a something. Can't imagine what the live performance will have in store for us. (Sunday night's headliner)
  9. 9.
    Blood Orange
I like a few songs, but not enough to see on its own, so I'm really hoping to catch it out.
  10. 10.
    Digging their 2016 album. Smooth.
  11. 11.
    Neon Indian
Like Blood Orange, I wouldn't see on their own, but looking forward to the chance to see in a fest setting.
  12. 12.
Hope people have birth control on hand, cause this is baby-making-music!
  13. 13.
    Sufjan Stevens
Don't make me move out of Illinois because I'm not as in the tank for SS as many of my friends. He is headlining Saturday night, so I may become another super fan after it.
  14. 14.
    Twin Peaks
Another group that I have heard much from, but heard many friends talk about them. I'll be going to p4k with #friends so seeing these guys will be fun.
  15. 15.
His 2015 album was on a lot of my friends' top albums lists... Gonna be good.
  16. 16.
    BJ the Chicago Kid
Local boy doing good. This may be a historic "I saw him when" moment.
  17. 17.
    The Hotelier
Only know of this name from the hype. Looking forward to seeing what it's like.
  18. 18.
    Car Seat Headrest
Already seen live, and just really hope they play the one song I really like.
  19. 19.
    Super Furry Animals
The way one friend was talking - he couldn't believe they weren't headlining, let alone touring. I don't know much about them, but now I'm curious.
  20. 20.
