It seems like all marriages on TV are terrible. The husband and wife are constantly at odds, keeping something from each other (I HATE misunderstandings due to dishonesty as a plot point), or they become boring. But it doesn't have to be like that! Behold:
  1. Monica and Chandler Bing
    76f369e6 5393 487c 8f1c 2a7b7c58d826
On Friends. You never thought these guys would get together at the beginning but I'm so glad they did. They were able to stay the same people they were before and managed to do what I thought was impossible: make those aforementioned misunderstandings funny (see: shark porn).
  2. Zoe and Hoban Washburn
    8a035eb9 5502 44f0 9b25 167646377ec9
On Firefly. There was no power struggle or resentment here, even though Zoe was second in command on the ship. This item comes with a warning: if you haven't seen the follow-up movie "Serenity"--don't. I still haven't recovered. 😭😭😭
  3. Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt
    3223d842 50f5 4c68 97e3 3d42b952b8d5
On Parks and Rec. My favorite TV couple ever. This was a couple that was friends and do awesome things like high five each other one moment and make out in public the next.
  4. April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer
    D0d111d5 c27b 4bf6 8fb8 572a0b3f1092
On Parks and Rec. Damn! This show knows how to do marriage the right way. April and Andy compliment each other perfectly. It's like an angel and devil meet and are incredibly silly together.
