Favourite Albums

These albums elicit strong emotions whenever I listen to them. This list considers the album as a whole and not the quality of the individual songs necessarily.
  1. Tommy
The first and greatest rock opera of all time. One of the best albums to listen to in the dark with a high quality pair of headphones.
  2. American Idiot
Most of my favourite Green Day songs are from Warning, but this album told the best story and got way better once the hype had died down. As you can see, I tend to enjoy concept albums the most.
  3. Act II: The Father of Death
A brilliant video game-based rock opera that isn't remotely as popular as it should be. It tells the story of Dr. Light from Megaman before he created the titular robot, and is a such a powerful dystopian tale.
  4. Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory
Another amazing album to listen to in the dark so you just focus on the music. All the different tones, tempos, and styles are overwhelming...but in the best way possible.
  5. No World for Tomorrow
I'm a huge comic book nerd, so the comic origins of their albums really appeals to me. This album is an awesome sci-fi narrative told in song.
