Originally the joke was gonna be me being totally confident but I bailed cause I got no idea this year. Here are some educated guesses.
  1. BEST PICTURE: SPOTLIGHT
I'm good with this. Wish Mad Max or even Bridge of Spies could snag it, but think Spotlight is the clear front runner.
  2. BEST ACTOR: DICAPRIO
    No duh.
  3. BEST ACTRESS: Brie Larson
Not what my choice would be. And I think Saoirse Ronan still has a chance just cause Brooklyn isn't going home empty handed.
  4. BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: STALLONE.
If you asked me before the globes, I probably would have said Mark Rylance. Still would rather have him or Hardy bag this one, but neither of them has the narrative Stallone does.
  5. BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: RACHEL MCADAMS
This might be the toughest to call, but just cause I'm iffy on Winslet. Just don't think Steve Jobs is getting enough traction, I don't know, feeling this could be the only award the cast of spotlight gets, but who knows. Ideally Jennifer Jason Leigh would win this award and every other award.
  6. DIRECTING: Alejandro G. Inarritu
Ughhhh why???? Think Abrahamson has a decent chance as well. But in a perfect world George Miller would ride off into the sunset, award in hand.
  7. ANIMATED FEATURE FILM: INSIDE OUT
Anomalisa being in here really throws a wrench int things, but I still think it's Pixar's year.
  8. COSTUME DESIGN: MAD MAX
    Cool? Cool.
  9. DOCUMENTARY: THE LOOK OF SILENCE
Think Amy got its due and now time for the real deal.
  10. DOCUMENTARY SHORT:
  11. MAKE UP: MAD MAX.
  12. ORIGINAL SONG: Sam Smith's Lullaby
  13. ANIMATED SHORT: WORLD OF TOMORROW
Maybe the best thing I saw all last year. Can't not root for it.
  14. SOUND EDITING: The Revenant.
Mixing it up a bit. Don't have enough Faith in the academy to think Mad Max will totally sweep the technical awards.
  15. FILM EDITING: MAD MAX.
  16. FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM: son of Saul
  17. ORIGINAL SCORE: The Hateful Eight
    Probs.
  18. PRODUCTION DESIGN: Mad Max.
Am I going to heavy on Mad Max? Maybe. Could see The Martian getting this and Mad Max getting Visual Effects instead.
  19. VISUAL EFFECTS: The Martian
Just cause it's gotta get something?
  20. ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: Brooklyn
My best guess, no real clue on this one.
  21. ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Spotlight.
Though Bridge of Spies could snag this one.
  22. BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: SICARIO
I'm trusting the academy on this one. What deserves to win and what will win overlap once again. Hopefully, couldn't handle The Revenant getting this, but it's quite possible.
