1. Take off your shoes.
  2. Don't check luggage unless you really, really, really need too. I mean, do you really need that crap? Wouldn't you be happier with just few changes of your favorite things to wear? Yes, you would.
  3. Bring over the ear noise cancelling headphones.
  4. Always have water and a good healthy snack that excites you. (Unhealthy stuff can make you feel worse).
  5. Sit at the window and appreciate how fast and far you are going.
  6. If you don't have good headphones then ear plugs are a must. I do both.
  7. A good, dark beanie will keep your head warm, and shut out all light when pulled over your eyes.
  8. Bring a friend.
  9. Have a good, strong bag or backpack to carry all these comforts and to fit under the seat.
  10. Chapstick.
  11. A tablet-like-entertainment-device like an iPad is worth it's weight in diamonds when flying.
  12. Compression socks are amazing.
  13. Relax.
