Books I Have Read More Than Once

  1. Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
This book speaks to motherhood and living as a whole woman and relates as much today as it did 60 years ago. I read it every May when we vacation in Holden Beach.
  2. The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
Written by a French Monk in the 1600's, it's a classic text of a man who rests in the love and communion of God in the daily, menial tasks of life. The simplification of faith and ministry offers peace and joy.
  3. Let Your Life Speak by Parker Palmer
{photo up above} His teaching on vocation and depression and learning to live within our own limits and personalities is completely freeing.
