NEW ZEALAND COLLOQUIALISMS THAT MY BRITISH FLATMATE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE

Also a list of words used in a different context almost solely by New Zealanders in New Zealand
  1. "Yeah nah" or alternatively "nah yeah"
"Yeah nah" being negative, "nah yeah" being affirmative. You can basically start any sentence with either of these. There's also the extreme version "oh yeah nah yeah".
  2. "Egg"
When someone is being crack up. Or a dick. "Oh, you fuckin' egg!"
  3. "Shame"
When someone does anything even vaguely embarrassing. "Ha shame".
