1. I'm setting off on my inter rail trip on Thursday and am in need of a book/books!
I'll most likely buy it at the airport
  2. I'll be away for 2 and a half weeks, spending a lot of that time on trains
  3. I'm looking for: something hefty/lengthy so it will keep me occupied for long periods, but not too much of a slog to get through
    (No War and Peace)
  4. OR a series that will keep me entertained but won't be too heavy to carry 😂 3 lightweight books MAX
So that rules out Games of Thrones
  5. It also needs to be out in paperback!
  6. Any suggestions?
I'm open to any genre tbh, as long as it's fiction. I'm thinking contemporary fiction but I'm not limited to that. I'm up for YA too!
  7. Aww I'm so honored! Thank you for asking.
Okay I recommend Wild by Cheryl Strayed, Room by Emma Donoghue, The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer, and the Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. If you've already read these then let me know and I'll suggest some different ones! ❤️❤️❤️

  12. Ghostwritten by David Mitchell
His first book and amazing. It's made of several stories that are fascinating and have an underlying storyline that you don't truly pick up on until the end. Can't recommend Cloud Atlas yet because I haven't read it but I'm bringing it on my own trip to finally read it!

  13. Station Eleven by Emily Mandel. Not too long, but it's such an interesting read! Or anything by Donna Tartt too!

  14. The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker
I devoured this on my trip to Florida last month. It has a dark, mysterious, but bright element to it, like a fairytale for adults.

  16. Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow
A hefty book (720 pages) but very interesting. Kept me interested. Bonus if you are into the musical.

  17. Rules of Civility by Amor Towels
Scandalous mystery taking place in New York in the 30s. Perfect pager turner travel book.

  18. The Diviners Series
They're YA novels that are sort of sci-fi/magical realism-y and they take place in the 20s and after I read them I couldn't stop saying "copacetic."
