Inspired by @mindy's list in 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?'. I am by no means a comedy expert so these are all pretty mainstream (but Mindy's were too so it's all good). In no particular order:
  1. Young Frankenstein - Putting On The Ritz
Horror, comedy AND Gene Wilder 👏
  2. Parks and Rec - Get On Your Feet
By far the funniest Parks and Rec scene. You don't have to watch the show or know anything about the characters to laugh at it, it's THAT funny
  3. Superbad - Cops Scene
The film itself hasn't aged that well in my opinion but this scene is genius. Especially Bill Hader "He kinda looked like Eminem" "ok m and m so like kinda round?"
  4. Napoleon Dynamite - dance scene
I had the biggest shock when I first saw this scene. Everything about it is funny. The complete sincerity and seriousness of the dance, the crowd's reaction, everything
  5. Malcolm in the Middle - Hal on roller skates
As a kid this was one of the funniest things I'd seen and it's still great. If I could explain my sense of humour, it would be this scene.
  6. SNL - Amy Poehler's Sarah Palin rap
  7. The Simpsons - Lisa The Vegetarian
A toss up between this and Homer The Heretic for my favourite Simpsons episode. This scene is so simple but when Marge joins in, I lose it. (Side note: why don't we talk about the Simpsons more on this app??)
  8. Father Ted - Protest
There are too many moments from Father Ted to choose from but this one is iconic. Also Dougal was pretty much one of my first childhood crushes lol
  9. Catherine Tate as Lauren
This was huge when I was growing up. Everyone was saying "am I bovvered" - like I'm pretty sure it was included in the dictionary. I think it still holds up pretty well today and shows how great Catherine Tate is as a character actor.
  10. SNL - Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri as the Spartan Cheerleaders
"My name is Craig 👏 I did drugs once 👏 I am a spartan 👏 so check me out" I so wish SNL was broadcast in the UK but for now I'm stuck with YouTube videos and crappy streaming sites.
  11. Gavin and Stacey - Alison Steadman as Pam
Gavin and Stacey was pretty much a perfectly written sitcom and Pam was its best character. Such a great casting choice, too. (My mum is Welsh and we use this insult all the time)
  12. Honourable mentions:
The Office - WHERE ARE THE TURTLES? Scene // Master of None - Dev and Alice's date // Father Ted - Talent Contest // The Royle Family - Cheryl's Lonely Hearts Ad
