Inspired by @ListPrompts. This is very much a personal favourites list since I'm still making my way through most of the classic movies that usually top these lists (The Godfather trilogy is 2/3 done!!) In no particular order:
  1. 1.
    Super 8
I watched this 3 times in the cinema and so many times on DVD. Honestly I can't say what I love so much about it but I always go back to it - it's become my comfort film
  2. 2.
    The Sound of Music
My favourite thing about this film is that everyone I know loves it. I watched it as a kid with my nan and we both still love talking about Captain Von Trapp 💘
  3. 3.
    Almost Famous
The first time I watched this, I immediately watched it again the next morning I loved it that much. I also love Say Anything by Cameron Crowe
  4. 4.
Marge Gunderson is probably my favourite film character ever
  5. 5.
A perfect French romance set in the 1950s - the whole film is visually beautiful
  6. 6.
    Lost in Translation
Ok ok I know, this is such a huge cliche but I genuinely love this film
  7. 7.
If you've not seen this film, I highly recommend it!! It's the true story of LGBT activists in the 1980s who helped a group of Welsh coal miners in their strike against mine closures. My family are Welsh so this is a subject close to my heart and I loved seeing it on screen. Plus the casting is FANTASTIC ❤️ Seriously guys, go watch this
  8. 8.
    You've Got Mail
Basically all of Nora Ephron's films but especially this one
  9. 9.
    West Side Story
I just love musicals tbh and musicals set in New York are 👏👏👏
  10. 10.
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
I had to include a Star Wars film and this is my favourite. That Han and Leia scene will get me EVERY TIME
  11. 11.
    Honourable mentions:
Back to the Future, Clueless, Walk the Line, Empire Records
  12. 12.
    If I'm being really honest:
    The Mighty Ducks
