THINGS I'VE BEEN INTO THIS MONTH: FEBRUARY

Doing monthly favourites means I'm one step closer to my true calling in life, being a professional YouTuber
  1. MUSIC:
  2. Ady Suleiman - This Is My EP
I've listened to this EP pretty much non stop this past week. I'm going to see Ady live in a fortnight and I couldn't be more excited.
  3. Rihanna - Anti
I wasn't sold at first but now I'm INTO it. The opener Consideration is my favourite.
  4. The Midwest Indies - Truman
I saw this EP when creeping through @shacara_shacara's Spotify and I loved its vibe!
  5. Smooth Neo Soul playlist on Spotify
Don't be put off by the name, this playlist is fab!! Perfect to have as background music when I'm working
  6. TV:
  7. Deutschland 83
Cannot recommend this enough!!! It's a German language drama following an East German spy in the Cold War. The acting is brilliant and the 80s soundtrack just makes it. They showed it on Channel 4 here in the UK and the country has gone crazy for it. (@LizDawson if you liked Occupied, you might like this!)
  8. Tracey Ullman's Show
I'd heard of Tracey Ullman but never seen any of her stuff before she made her return to British TV with this sketch show. I like seeing sketch comedy on primetime for one and it's hilarious too. Her Judi Dench character is my favourite.
  9. Love
I watched this series really quickly and I kind of had mixed feelings about it. I hated Gus with a passion but by the end of it I realised that was kind of the point? Plus I did love Bertie
  10. FILMS:
  11. Trainwreck
I finally watched it and I am in love with Bill Hader 100x more now
  12. Spotlight
One of the only Oscar nominated films I've seen so far (I know, I know). It was really hard to watch sometimes but I think it was actually a very subtle, sensitive film.
  13. Obvious Child
Why isn't everyone talking about this film??! Jenny Slate is an absolute gem of an actress/comedian and she deserves praise 24/7. This film had so many lovely moments and achieved this perfect balance of independence, womanhood and romance. Gaaaah I haven't stopped thinking about it since I watched it 😍👏
  14. PODCASTS:
  15. FiveThirtyEight Elections
The American election is fascinating as an outsider and this podcast does a nice round up of the week's stories. I do have to make mental notes to look stuff up because there's so much I don't understand 😂
  16. BOOKS:
  17. Tina Fey - Bossypants
Honestly I don't know why I've never read this before. It was an easy, light read which I liked and, although there were some aspects of the book I wasn't mad keen on, I generally like Tina and her comedy. The chapter where she replies to hate messages had me almost in tears.
  18. MISC:
  19. Rihanna's hair
This whole Brit Awards look tbh
  20. The fact my brother now signs off our emails like this
If you've seen Master of None, you will get this 😂
