PASTA DISHES I'VE LOVED (IN LA)

Suggestions welcome. 🍝🇮🇹
  1. Bigoli Della Nonna, Maccheroni Republic
My very favorite homemade pasta with ragu. Would choose as my last meal. Maccheroni Republic is also the best, most authentic Italian restaurant I've been to.
  2. Mandilli di Seta, Factory Kitchen
Translates as "silk handkerchiefs". The most delicate sheets of pasta with almond pesto. This one's a work of art. FK is my favorite upscale Italian place.
  3. Casonzei, Factory Kitchen
Delicious meat-filled parcels cooked in butter and sage.
  4. Orecchiette, Osteria Mozza
My fave pasta shape (means "little ears"). Here it's served with fennel sausage and Swiss chard.
  5. Bucatini alla Carbonara, Pistola
A raw yolk sits atop a mound of pasta, and the waiter mixes it in for you.
  6. Capellini, Little Dom's
    Simple and satisfying.
  7. Crab and lemon pasta, Osteria La Buca
Bright and refreshing. This is an underhyped and reliably good place.
  8. Rigatoni, Ca Del Sole
Right next to Universal and a hidden Italian gem. Pretty much every dish is 👌
