1. I remember watching The Philosopher's Stone, and being absolutely terrified of Snape's gaze, and how cold and bottomless his eyes were
  2. I remember watching The Prisoner of Azkaban and loathing Snape for the way he treated Sirius Black - loathing him the way Harry loathed him
  3. I remember watching Order Of The Phoenix and felt remorse for the perception I had of Snape, and read along while Harry came to the same uncomfortable conclusion as I did
  4. I remember watching The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and leaving the theatre with eyes red from sobbing over his death
  5. The Harry Potter series honestly changed my life, and the character of Snape broke my heart many times over
  6. It's hard to find a character that more clearly embodies the strength of love than Severus Snape
  7. Thank you Alan Rickman, for all that you did to make this character come to life
  8. Arguably one of the most dynamic and complex characters ever written for a children's book
  9. And undoubtedly one of the most human
  10. "Albus Severus, you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."
  11. Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. You will be missed.
