In short: walked around NYC, made stuff, ate good food, didn't worry about anything
  1. 1.
Took an embroidery class at Brooklyn Brainery
  2. 2.
Went out with my old coworkers for one last boozefest at Lavender Lake and thought I was cool enough to don a hat, backwards
  3. 3.
Tried to barter for a domain name for a new business idea
  4. 4.
    Treated myself. cc: @chanel
  5. 5.
Participated in Etsy's Reimagine Manufacturing conference and facilitated a group discussion on "Un-manufacturing and Lifecycle of Materials"
  6. 6.
Turned my life into a design thinking exercise, with my apartment walls as the whiteboard
  7. 7.
Saw a tweet about free Korilla BBQ food truck in the middle of the day and showed up 10 minutes later for kimchi and pork
  8. 8.
Found this chair on a sidewalk in Park Slope and brought it home with me in the middle of the day
  9. 9.
Taught myself to macramé using Pinterest and YouTube and an old ball of twine
  10. 10.
Visited the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens right before it closed. Took some liberties with the gift shop items to make a flower crown 🌺🌸
  11. 11.
Bought the literal last bottle of rosé of the season from this cute wine shop in Williamsburg
  12. 12.
DIY'd a jacket with my handle @allievice on it (my screenname/alter ego since 1999, thank you AOL)
  13. 13.
Finally tried tea from @kiki-recommended Matcha Bar in Williamsburg
  14. 14.
Visited my favorite sign shop, Steve ESPO Powers's Icy Signs in Brooklyn. Talked for an hour to Andy the shopkeeper about the messed up garment industry and making it in New York
  15. 15.
Spent a week working out of WeWork Dumbo. Free trial! Didn't love it
  16. 16.
Had lunch at Etsy HQ (appropriately called "Eatsy"). Their meeting rooms have laser-cut food pun names like Ludacroissant and S'Morrissey
  17. 17.
Found the cutest street in Cobble Hill, right next to my local favorite eatery Ted & Honey
  18. 18.
Went to 2X in Tech conference for female founders and BAMF women in tech, like Kara Swisher and Marleen Vogelaar
  19. 19.
Donated 9" of hair to Beautiful Lengths and got bangs for the first time since I was 10

  27. 27.
    Visited @ameliagrace's new Boston digs
  28. 28.
Redeemed a gift card for a manicure/pedicure I've had since 2010. Due to new laws instated in the past few years, I had to pay tax and then tax on the tax ($2.12)
  29. 29.
Collaged using grandma's old @nytimes T magazines. Particularly fascinated by the pieces on simple cabin living and social entrepreneurs, and the pictures of neon suits, marble countertops, ivy-enshrined doorways ✂️
  30. 30.
Feasted on a three-course meal @ Dimes in Chinatown while reading their 'zine by candlelight. This SoCal-inspired spot is a must visit when in NYC! 💗🌴🎨

    'Twas fun while it lasted!
