  8. In Search of a Midnight Kiss
Very unseen 2008 film shot in b&w and truly makes parts of LA romantic in a way most big budget films fail to capture. A cross between Manhattan and Before Sunrise.

Nicole Holofcener's first movie and still my favorite of hers. It was also my introduction to both Anne Heche and Catherine Keener. It is SUCH a great, funny, accurate movie about female best friends, especially when one is single and one is not.
